13 days... I am too excited to smile.
I LEAVE FOR UKRAINE IN 13 DAYS!!!!!!
There are so many things I have to do before I leave- it will be interesting to see if everything gets done.
To do (the top 5):
1. Pack- my things are strewn about upstairs in no particular pattern of organization and the rest of the Keeny family is not cool with that. Also, I am going to be living on an enclosed balcony in Valiya's home, so I won't even have room for half of the things I 'need'. Needless to say, I don't think I'll be able to take the entire Harry Potter series with me :(
2. Buy medicine in bulk- I will be teaching kids for the majority of my time in Odessa. Many things about school in Ukraine are vastly different from here in America. But all children everywhere have one thing in common- they share germs. all the time. Thus, I will invest in a year's supply of vitamin C and Purell. My class might not be the best class, but if it's up to me, it will the healthiest.

3. Practice Russian- My church has asked me to make a presentation of the Gospel to the congregation this Sunday completely in Russian. It's hard- maybe one of the hardest things I've ever had to work on. I could just read it off the paper, but the thing with Russian is that you need to know where the emphasis is in the word. I've posted on here before about how emphasis makes the difference between the word 'to write' and 'to pee'. I don't know how many close calls like that there are in the piece I'm working on... and I don't want to find out.
4. Support raising- I'm almost there!! I have the amount TEAM requires in order to leave. Now I just have to raise monthly support to keep me in Ukraine the whole 9 months. I only need around $2,000 and some change- it's pretty exciting. If you want to get in on that, go to the 'give' tab. If not, I still love you :)
5. Trust the Lord to provide for my needs- pretty obvious. This one requires me to shut up and trust, two things I am not very good at. He'll give me what I need for what He's called me to do (on His terms, not mine).
