Today I successfully finished my last day of teaching!! It was a great day with lots of goodbyes. But the cool part is that for many of these kids, this isn't the last time I will see them. As the title suggests, chaos is about to ensue- chaos in the form of summer day camps!
The weeks of June 3-7 and 10-14, I will lead a team of 3 summer missionaries from the US plus Kurt and an extra friend or two to bring an English portion to summer day camps at Garmoniya and Erudit (where I taught) schools. It will be pretty crazy, as both camps will run for 2 weeks at the same time- Garmoniya in the morning, and Erudit in the afternoon. Get ready for lots of fun in English, running around, and probably some mild insanity of the very best variety.
Pray.
Pray for the kids- that God would bring the kids that He wants to come to build relationships with. Pray that the programs we put on will be fun, well-received, and educational (in some way).
Pray for the team- pray for me as I am in a leadership role, for us to work well together as a unit, and for the strength of the 3 people from the US physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
So yeah- foreshadowing of the ensuing chaos is scheduled for this Monday when the team arrives in Odessa and will continue for roughly 2 1/2 weeks, then like 4 days of packing and goodbye-saying, and then I fly home to PA and start my job on Monday.
Woah.
