Today's Thursday... that means that a week from now I will be sitting in a seat in the sky over the Atlantic Ocean, coming back to the US. That's insane. I have been learning so much here and have been stretched in so many ways- it's crazy that it's all about to end. I am so glad I had the opportunity to come here and learn and experience life here in Ukraine. It's been super-challenging at times, but at the same time, it's been amazing being here and meeting people.
Since next week is my last week, I have the opportunity to stay overnight with my Ukrainian language partner, Valya. She's a sweet older lady that I have been meeting with weekly to speak in Russian with. I'll be with her from Sunday afternoon until Wednesday morning just hanging out with her and talking. Hopefully it will be a good time for both of us, and there's a chance I'll even be able to learn to make pelmeni, which is the Russian version of ravioli (that Alex Hackler really loves). Valya is a great cook and I hope I get the chance to learn some cool things from her.
For those of you who pray, please pray that the Lord would continue to lead me in regards to what I should do this fall. I still have no clue, as there are some great possibilities that I hope to explore this week and pray over. Please pray for clarity, patience on my part, and direction as I seek what my next step should be. I don't want to settle for any old open door, when God has had His best for me laid out since the beginning of time. It would be pretty lame of me to settle for something that's pretty okay, when God's got something freaking awesome waiting for me. Pray for wisdom, discernment, and patience-- and anything else along those lines. Or you can just pray for me- i think that will count too.
Thanks for reading (if you're skimming, I still love you!) and hope to see many of you all when I get back to the states in a week or two!
